Friendzy Friday With Shelby!

Rub-on Basics and Beyond

To some, rub ons can be a bit daunting. I know that I was very apprehensive about using rub-ons when I first started scrapbooking. There's always a bit of fear about whether or not they will apply evenly. Now, I use rub-ons on just about every layout!

Here are a few tips to help ease your fears.

When applying rub-ons:

~ cut out the image you wish to use (this prevents other images from transferring as well)

~ use even pressure, rub firmly but gently

~ peel back the transfer sheet slowly so that you can lay it back down in place if needed

~ flip transfer sheet over and press it down on top of transferred image, this helps to smooth down any lifted edges

If you do make a mistake use an adhesive eraser to simply rub the image away.

Use rub ons on glass, wood, plastic (clear buttons take on a whole new look!)

You can also use rub ons directly on your pictures.

Basic Grey makes a great rub-on roller tool.

There are many uses for rub ons. Think beyond the page!

Today and tomorrow only.......buy 3 rub-ons and get the 4th one FREE!
