Friendzy Friday with Laura

Ribbon + Buttons = Flowers

1. For a ruffled flower, run a basting stitch along one side of a 6” - 8” length of ribbon or lace, leaving a tail of thread at the beginning of the length of ribbon.

Pull both ends of thread and tie a knot to create a ribbon ruffle.

Secure a button to the top of the ruffle with a glue dot.

2. For a funkier, more mod flower. Cut ribbon or twill into four 3” strips, and layer one over the other in a criss-cross pattern.

Secure in the centre with a couple of stitches, to hold the ribbons in place.

Add a button to the top with a glue dot. Add some inking if desired.
